The Wandering Goblin

The ethos of The Goblin is simple. Quality with transparency, and without compromise. This is a coffee shop cobbled together from scraps as a reactionary measure against sh-t workplaces, sh-t coffee, sh-t tea, and sh-t working conditions.

We have a constantly changing menu of well sourced coffee from roasteries all over the country, excellent traditional Japanese teas sourced in through (and working closely with) our friends at Cha-ology, and fresh baked sourdough pastries made in-house, by hand, every day.

We’re open seven days a week.
Monday - Friday 7am til 5pm
Saturday - Sunday 8:30am til 5pm
Serving excellent specialty coffee, teas, matchas, and baked goods made in-house.

A different take on this whole “cafe” thing.

Wandering Goblin was a meandering coffee shop, focused on creating spaces that we’d want to exist in. The Goblin often appeared and took over different spaces, building temporary cafes and working collaboratively - not competitively. We now have our own real, solid brick-and-mortar cafe and have been trading here for just over a year at the time of writing.

Our focus isn’t just coffee. We put great effort into making sure everything we serve is to the same standard of tracability and taste-ability. From japanese wakoucha and genmaicha, to single cultivar matcha as koicha or usucha. Even every food item we serve is baked in-house by the Goblin’s fair hands.

If you’re gonna do something, at least do it properly.

We've had the privilege of having this wonderful video put together about/for us by our friend Harvey Gibson - so feel free to give it a watch to get a feel for what we do, and check out Harvey’s other work at harveygibson.uk
